Call & Process
At one time we were all lost and without hope in the
world, condemned to a life separate from God. (See
Ephesians 2:12; Romans 2:5, 3:23; 2 Thessalonians.
1:8)
Jesus came to this earth to be the atonement for our
sins. Through Him our sins are covered, once and
for all, by His costly, bloody, sacrificial death.
He who knew no sin was made to be sin for us so that
we could be made the righteousness of God. (See John
1:36; Hebrews 9:22–26, 10:12; 1 John 3:4,5;
2 Corinthians 5:21)
Salvation is a gift from our Creator. It enables us
to have fellowship with Him. There is nothing we
can do to earn it; we can only receive it and accept
it. No amount of obedience makes us fairer in His
sight. We were chosen in Him before the foundation
of the world. (See Ephesians 1:4, 2:8–9; Galatians
3:11; Romans 2:4; Mark 2:17; James 2:22; Matthew
3:8; 1 John 3:6)
When we finally understand Jesus’ work on our
behalf, the only work left for us to do is to repent
of our sinful ways and to walk in newness of life:
His life lived through us. The fruit of receiving Jesus’ atoning
sacrifice is the freedom to live a life of holiness!
We are not called only to believe, but to act on that
belief. This means repenting from our sinful ways and
allowing our Father to work in us. His work in us is
manifest as we live out His perfect Torah and walk
in His righteous commands. Those commands train us
and remind us to love God and one another. Every truly
redeemed individual is meant to produce the fruit of
repentance and righteousness. (See Ephesians 1:7; Romans
8:2, 10:4; Matthew 22:37–40; Luke 24:27; Titus
2:14; 1 John 5:3)
The Bible tells us that the result of obeying the Torah
of Liberty and living holy lives is that unredeemed
people can see the light of Jesus in our lives and
may be drawn into covenant relationship with God.
They will see Jesus in us, and want Him too. That’s
a big part of what it means to bring Glory to God.
(See John 8:12; Acts 13:47; Matthew 5:14; 2 Corinthians
4:6; Psalms 119:35; James 1:25; Galatians 5:1)
